JUNE, 2011: NIMGenetics, best “young” biotech in 2011.

We already knew about the huge potential of the technology used by NIMGenetics (company specialized in genetic diagnosis and genomic systems of high resolution) to identify new genomic alterations and to change the current methods used for diagnosis and treatment. Beyond this, a few days ago, NIMGenetics became a official reference center in Spain and Portugal for the use of Agilent Technologies oligos in array-CGH.
NIMGenetics also obtained the best position in the contest Premio Emprendedor XXI, after the winners, Orbital Aerospace (aeronautic technology), Flumotion (video services in Internet), Agnitio (biometric voice solutions), Xtraice (ecologic ice panels to skate) and Nanogap (nanomaterials for chemical processes). The quality of the contestants is higher every year, and it is a great experience to collaborate in the selection process.

In addition, NIMGenetics also got the prize to the “Best Growing Project for a small Company” in the 9th Edition of the Contest Proyecto Escuela Banespyme-Orante, organized by IE Business School, Banesto Foundation and Orange. NIMGenetics is a reference company, created for researchers (in this case from the institutes CNIO and CNIC) and located in the Parque Científico de Madrid, that has started a solid commercial activity and has an exciting future ahead.
